These projects will give you a flavour in Shan's expertise and experiences with different communitites.
Eastward House School
Shan is currently based full-time at Eastward House School as an 1-1 Learning Support Assistant, working alongside a student with additional learning needs. Additionally, Shan has ben granted the space to facilitate art & wellbeing worshops for the school for students with a variety of needs.
Shan freelances frequently with Green Squirrel for major projects that are collaborated with Cardiff Council, Cardiff Child Friendly and Arts Council of Wales. Most notable projects being the Summer of Smiles Festival 2021 and Winter of Wellbeing Festival 2022.
Taking Flight Theatre
Shan frequently hold visual art workshops in collaboration with Taking Flight Youth Theatre. These originally started over Covid-19 via. Zoom but have now integrated to in-person workshops.
Marlborough Primary School
Shan worked closely with the Special Educational Needs unit of Marlborough Primary School to lead sensory-based workshops to pupils with a variety of social, emotional, cognitive and behavioural needs.
Ysgol Y Deri
Shan worked in collaboration with a team from University of South Wales and Hijinx Theatre, to design participant-led workshops for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. These workshops were targeted in developing ideas and designing characters for a winter show, hosted by Hijinx Theatre at Wales Millenium Centre named, Hansel, Gedeon and The Grimm's Wood.
